I use the weeds and no longer think of them as a problem.

I also use some but there's just too much for the "soup" equipment I currently have, which amounts to a bucket. I need to upgrade in that department.

Even just a simple pull and use them as mulch. being on hands & knees close to the soil is inspiring. Tilling, on the other hand, stirs the soil too much, reduces soil life which feeds plants, and allows for the 'weed' seeds its flash of sunlight - a trigger to germinate.

There are some things to learn about which would reduce work and increase healthy food production...

It's very gratifying, too. Thee is A LOT to learn! Good thing I'm naturally curious so it will be fun.

I use some of the weeds I pull as weight to suppress more weed growth in certain parts of the garden. I read that somewhere and it does seem to work with sufficient amounts of weeds.
