great piece. after spending nearly 30 years in the country and 25 years in the city, i find the sun rise and sun set in the country to be more of an ‘experience’ that takes my mind off the day to day routine. in the city, at least for me, the event was more fleeting and less serene (while still beautiful). in the city (it does somewhat depend on the city and your view!), the sun rise or sun set wasn’t a big part of why i loved where i lived. in the country, it always was.
Yes, it is more of an experience in the country. Slower-paced life and all that. An all-round big plus to my mind though there's a certain special charm in urban sunrises and sunsets, too. Sunrises, mostly, since there are fewer people around to crowd the space. :)
Thank you for reminding me that when I was a child, I used to just sit in the grass in the front yard and look up at the sky. I'd see the different shades of blue in different spots and the shapes of the clouds and how some clouds were lower and other higher and the different structures they took on. And sometimes I'd foolishly look at the Sun for a few moments despite all the warnings...
A wonderful start to the day, Irina. Thank you!
My pleasure!
Lovely images!

Hi Irina. You are probably not on Facebook, but if you can see it, there's a group called Vermont Skies. https://www.facebook.com/groups/693266997498739/
Many beautiful images.
These are gorgeous, thank you! Sadly, FB is a monster and refuses to let me see them all without an account.
I need sky.

We've all done, this, haven't we? Perhaps one of our first acts of defiance as children, just to get a taste of it.
